Gemstone – The Photostat Dump [Pt. 3]

Heroin from the Golden Triangle was sometimes smuggled into San Francisco in the bodies of American GIs who died in battle in Vietnam. One body can hold up to 40 pounds of heroin, crammed in where the guts would be.

HIGH SOCIETY: The Model-T Was Designed to Run on Hemp Fuel – Which Henry Ford Grew

So Long, Superman – A Calming Musical Interlude #5

On the ol’ Pioneer LazerDisc jukebox at the pub I haunted back in ’94 or so, Interstate Love Song was a staple on the 3 tunes for 2 bucks deal.  And my introduction to Stone Temple Pilots, or Pone Stemple Tilots, as they sometimes were drunkenly referenced.  Many a Kahlua & milk or Jim Beam & cola or whatever horrific beverage I was on were downed and enjoyed with this as backing music…   Likewise, mirth aplenty is remembered in connection to Sour Girl.  Buffy, Sarah Michelle, scary rabbit costumes, the 90’s, whatever…     It all got a bit … Continue reading So Long, Superman – A Calming Musical Interlude #5

A Prayer For Commuters – Updated With Fresh Road-Rage!

From my Twitter, my little prayer (even though I don’t pray, unless I’m tripping) for me and anyone else risking their lives daily just to get to and from work inside a motor vehicle. Feel free to incorporate it into your pre-take-off routines.  May it protect you from death and catastrophic injury… Wick Burner UPDATE! Yesterday, in real life, I was saved from death or catastrophic injury by a higher being, or something. An attempt was made to run me off the road at ~110km/h by an impatient methamphetamine user with anger-management issues, bad fashion-sense, debatable personal hygiene standards, an absence … Continue reading A Prayer For Commuters – Updated With Fresh Road-Rage!

Trippin’ In Paradise

On this day in 1970, Jimi Hendrix died, at the age of 27. Trailblazer, inventor, interpreter, communicator, human beacon. An example of how to live. An example of how not to die. One of my favourite anecdotes about Jimi is that he would place 2 or 3 LSD blotters on his forehead under his headband and play his gigs in a state of ‘escalating tripping’ as his sweat transported the good acid into his dermis and beyond.  I don’t know if that’s actually true, but it’s a damn fine tale. And so castles made of sand, melt into the sea, … Continue reading Trippin’ In Paradise

Arrival

Landing succeeded smoothly – always a great relief – and the beautiful semi-Polynesian hostesses had made the flight more than bearable.  Making my way through customs and quarantine was a breeze.  I was a low-risk Australian, apparently. Once through the maze of partitions, I was met by the Doctor’s apprentice and escorted to a waiting car. The drive avoided the metropolitan sprawl completely and we ascended from near sea-level farming land into wooded hinterland and then along winding mountain roads.  What could have been a very relaxing ride was actually more like a rally drive – being lurched around the cabin … Continue reading Arrival

Conversation with big pharma on cannabis

Cannabis is one of the most dangerous substances known to man. It is literally worth locking you in a cage with murderers and rapists just to protect you from this plant. Praguepot(PP): Sorry big pharma did you say something? Big pharma(BP): Don’t mind me, I am just mumbling to myself as I lovingly look over my profit and loss statements for 2014. Praguepot(PP): Good year for you? Big pharma(BP): In the drug business, it is always a good year! We have the perfect scam going, we give you medicine and then we give you more… Continue reading Conversation with big pharma on cannabis

Trust Us

In a joint statement from members of the Global Alliance for Virtuous Banking (GAVBank), account holders everywhere are being assured that “banks are good”.  The statement was issued in response to recent revelations that HSBC had allegedly acted as the conduit for a paltry €180Bn of tax dodges, drug money, blood diamonds and bankrolling of terrorists. The statement informs banking customers that: There is no need for concern.  Your money is totally safe with us, and is in no way used to fund or support illegal or unsavoury activities anywhere.  That’s what Bitcoin is for.  You should really stay away from … Continue reading Trust Us

Cannabis, cancer and big pharma

Originally posted on PRAGUE POT:
Scientific research carried out by the American government in 1975 showed the powerful cancer fighting ability of THC and other compounds within the plant. They have known since then that cannabis combats tumor growth and in some cases kills the cancerous cells altogether. There is a reason we instinctively don’t trust our governments, and this is the reason. Big pharmaceutical companies, who know they couldn’t get the complete patent for cannabis, bought and paid for the silence of politicians. We know that politicians have first and foremost, their own interests at heart, so if big… Continue reading Cannabis, cancer and big pharma
