Free West Papua

Australia’s closest geographical neighbour is the world’s second-largest island, New Guinea.  The eastern half of this island is the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, and the western half is West Papua, now consisting of two Indonesian provinces. In 1975, Papua New Guinea was declared independent after decades of overlapping German, British, and Australian administration, and the post-war union of the Papua and New Guinea territories in 1949. In the same year, The Dutch attempted to leave behind an independent West Papuan nation when departing the region after 149 years of colonial rule.  Indonesia, however, claimed rights of sovereignty over West … Continue reading Free West Papua

MH370 Moist Towelette Reduction

My Doubt Radar is in overdrive. In the last 24 or so hours, a story has emerged regarding the discovery of a remarkably pristine looking moist towelette bearing the Malaysia Airlines logo on its outer packaging, apparently washed up on a beach in Western Australia. I’ve only had opportunity to briefly peruse the stories and images, but I’m already calling ‘BULLSHIT’.  Initially, I was prepared to call bullshit within a minute of looking at the OBVIOUSLY STAGED pictures – until I found that the article (linked to above) stated clearly that the images were a “recreation”.  (Well, that just confirms … Continue reading MH370 Moist Towelette Reduction

Welcome To City

The Prime Moron of Australia, tony abbott, has rolled out the welcome mat for indigenous Australians to relocate to major cities, by reminding them that they live in the desert and that cities are way better and you can get stuff in cities that you can’t get in the desert. In a political master-stroke, abbott has saved the nation (and the good state of Western Australia) many millions of dollars and enticed entire remote indigenous communities to relocate to the city, simply by making them aware that governments cannot “endlessly subsidise lifestyle choices if those lifestyle choices are not conducive to the kind … Continue reading Welcome To City

In Defence Of News Corp’s ‘Sexist’ Obituary Writers

So-called ‘feminists’ everywhere are having baby cows over a ‘sexist’ obituary in our Dear Leader Rupert’s News Corp news rags all around Australia.  The text under the microscope is as follows: COLLEEN McCullough, Australia’s bestselling author, was a charmer. Plain of feature, and certainly overweight, she was, nevertheless a woman of wit and warmth. In one interview, she said: “I’ve never been into clothes or figure and the interesting thing is I never had any trouble attracting men.” Now, just forget for a moment that Ms. McCullough sold over 30 million copies of a book she wrote (and many other … Continue reading In Defence Of News Corp’s ‘Sexist’ Obituary Writers

Changing Direction

Taking cues from my readers and other blogs I follow and interactions on other social media things, it’s time to dedicate some effort to ‘crystallizing’ the aim, intent, and … the SOUL, I guess … of this here Shit Web-Log. It’s time to go the full retard FULL SATIRE.  I’ll probably have to look that up on urban wiktionary or something so I know what I’m supposed to be doing… Why didn’t I do this to begin with? Maybe because I was trying to be all serious, and all things to all people, and maybe I thought I couldn’t pull … Continue reading Changing Direction

MH17 Story Still Murky & Confused

It’s become a common theme in most news events of recent times – the truth will never now be known. I’ve previously published or reblogged a couple of posts on the MH17, as well as MH370, ‘events’ (see MH17 Crash Analysis, by The Russian Union Of Engineers and MH17 Shot DOWN over UKRAINE is MISSING MALAYSIAN Flight 370).  I’ve also happily retweeted a lot of suggestions that the ‘official narrative’, if there is one, has been misleading, to say the least, even going so far as to suggest that the exact opposite of what Western mainstream media reports is closer to … Continue reading MH17 Story Still Murky & Confused

Real Journalism Died When Rupert Murdoch Swindled His Way Into This Country

Originally posted on Wolfessblog — Guillotine mediocrity in all its forms!:
8000 Channels With One Corporate Message The Death of the Fourth Estate by BILLY O’CONNOR “Even if your mother says she loves you, check it out,” my professor preached. “Believe nothing you hear or read without verification.” When I earned my journalism degree from the University of Florida, Mike Foley chiseled those two sentences in my brain. Non-journalists are also beginning to question print and broadcast news. According to a recent Gallup survey, only 40 percent of Americans believe what they read in newspapers. After scanning today’s tabloids, one… Continue reading Real Journalism Died When Rupert Murdoch Swindled His Way Into This Country

MH17 Crash Analysis, by The Russian Union Of Engineers

I know…  This silly web-log thing here is not supposed to be a conspiracy site.  But, fuck it.  I’ve published more than one potential conspiracy and, well, why stop now?  What will be will be… NOTE: The contents of this post are almost entirely extracted from The Oceania Saker.  If you are interested in a concise and seemingly sensible explanation of how the MH17 disaster transpired, then you need to read the entire report (now almost a month old).  There is a video there too.  Follow the link above (or here) to read the summary and download the report from … Continue reading MH17 Crash Analysis, by The Russian Union Of Engineers

Look Over There! No, Not There; Over There!!

Distraction. The only thing our fantastical and terrible Federal government is good at. Distraction. Here’s a little 3-dot-point list of (some of) the failures of this government, and the actions employed (by design or by pure luck) to distract from them. 1. Promises made in campaign-mode – Broken (too many to put a number on). A plane disappears (MH370).  “Look over there!  Look, I will find that plane.  Look, the world has made me the king of plane-finding.“ Operational result: FAIL Distraction result: 100% 2. A Federal budget so horrible, that it remains un-passed even as we draw closer to … Continue reading Look Over There! No, Not There; Over There!!
